| Mother & Son Artists Lead New Wave of Art in Revitalized River Town |
| Sing Sing put Ossining on the map, but with the opening of Up River Art, Mary Ellis and her son Noah Baumwoll, are at the forefront of revitalizing the river town as an art destination. The new art gallery, set in a roomy loft space on Main Street, will have an official grand opening on Columbus Day weekend October 7-9th 2006. |
|
Featured are abstract paintings and prints by Ellis and figurative welded steel sculptures by Baumwoll. Both mother and son share a passion for music, movement, and brilliant color, which is reflected in their work. The gallery pulses with rhythm and uplifting energy. In fact, Ellis will continue to paint from the space, which also serves as home base for her successful souvenir company Fifth Ave. Manufacturers. A gift shop will feature her graphic designs on a full line of upscale products such as: ceramic mugs, glassware, T-shirts, notepads, etc.

| Up River Art celebrates the vibrancy of color and life, bringing positive energy to a stressful world. This vibrancy is reflected in the multicultural and diverse community that calls Ossining home. |
